Guest Rooms and Facilities The Haveli has 4 bedrooms named after the fruit trees adjacent to them: Mulberry, Tangerine, Mango, and Plum. 1. Mulberry: There are mulberry trees on two sides of the room, and an organic vegetable garden on the back side. At the entrance of the room is a verandah, great for sitting and soaking the afternoon sun in the winters. 2. Tangerine: This is the largest room and has an attached porch (baithak) on the south side. Sitting on the bed or in the baithak one can enjoy views of grape vines and other greenery in the mixed fruit orchard that includes several tangerine trees. The tiles salvaged from this and other rooms during the restoration now adorn the floors of the baithak. 3. Mango: Re-inforced with iron rods and concrete, the walls of this room are 18 inches thick. Adjacent to this room used to be a tubewell where the owners children cooled off in the summers and ate mangoes. A pit of one of these mangoes took root and flourished into a tall tree next to the room's outer window. 4. Plum: On the east side or the Haveli one can watch sunrise from this room. This room was originally built for grain storage and has views of the back lawn, and the plum orchard on one side and mixed fruit orchard on the other side. There is a connecting door to the Mango room, ideal for families and guests wanting two adjoining rooms. All rooms are well equipped with modern comforts:
